St Monans Sea Queen Day, East Neuk of Fife, Scotland. Saturday 14th of June 2008. A Traditional East Neuk Gala Day dating back to the middle of the 20th Century when St Monans was a busy fishing village. Nowadays the event is a fun filled family day which takes place in, and around, the picturesque old harbour. Welcome the new Queen as she arrives by boat, accompanied by the Anstruther Life Boat then proceeds along the street accompanied by a pipe band and other live music to the Crowning Ceremony. The day includes children's rides, displays, competitions, charity stalls, mini street market, food stalls and much more.
